Privacy.
What this site collects, where it goes, how long it stays, and what it never does. purdueirb.com is an independent consultation practice for Purdue University Global IRB files — not the university, not its board, and unconnected to Purdue University in West Lafayette — and nothing you send here reaches any of them.
Short answer
The forms send only what you type — a name if you give one, an email, a phone number, the stage of your study, a note — to the practice's own intake system, where the drafting room reads it. The live chat sends the messages you write. There are no advertising trackers, no analytics scripts and no third-party cookies on this site. We keep what you send while it is useful to your file and remove it when you ask.
What is collected, and by which part of the site
| Instrument | What it sends | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The intake sheet and the homepage request block | Name (optional), email, phone, the stage of your study, your note, and the page you sent it from. | So that we can read what exists, reply from hello@purdueirb.com with the findings, and call if you prefer to be called. |
| The seasonal offer | Name (optional), email, phone, the season named, and the page. | So that the offer is recorded against your file and honoured on the quote. |
| The live chat | The messages you type, a session identifier kept in your browser for the visit, and the page. | So that the application desk can answer and keep the thread during the visit. |
| Revision notices (subscribe) | Your email and the page. | So that one email can be sent when Purdue Global's process changes — nothing else. |
| Email to hello@purdueirb.com | Whatever you choose to attach or write. | The review is done on what you send; attachments are read by the drafting room only. |
Every form also carries a hidden field that people do not see and automated submitters fill in; if it is filled, nothing is sent. It exists to keep the intake clean and collects nothing from you.
Where it goes
Form submissions and chat messages are posted directly from your browser to the practice's own intake system, which the drafting room and the application desk use to read and reply. It is operated for the practice and not shared with, sold to, or made available to any university, any board, any advertiser or any data broker. Email to hello@purdueirb.com is handled by the practice's mail provider in the ordinary way.
The site loads its two typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers when a page opens; Google's own privacy terms govern that request. No other third-party resource is loaded, and no script on this site reports your visit to anyone.
What is stored in your browser
A small number of session values, kept only for the visit and cleared when the browser tab closes: whether the seasonal offer has been shown, whether the chat nudge has been shown, and the chat session identifier so that the thread survives a page change. No persistent cookies are set by this site, and nothing is stored for advertising.
How long it is kept
What you send is kept while it is useful to your file — through the free review, and through the process if you hand it to us — and for a reasonable period afterwards in case the board writes back or you return with an amendment. After that it is removed in the ordinary course. Subscribe addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do by replying to any notice with the word unsubscribe, or by writing to hello@purdueirb.com.
What we never do
- We never send what you submit to Purdue Global, its IRB, Purdue University in West Lafayette, or any institution. Submissions to the board are made by you, or by us on your word, through the university's own portal, and only with the documents you have approved.
- We never sell, rent or trade your details, and we never add you to a list you did not ask to join. The intake sheet does not subscribe you to revision notices; the subscribe sheet does not create a file.
- We never place advertising trackers or analytics on the site, and we never buy data about you from anyone.
- We never ask for, and you should never send, payment details through the forms or the chat. Fees are quoted in writing and settled by the means named in the quote.
Your requests
Write to hello@purdueirb.com to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it removed; we answer from the same address. Removal is complete except where a record of the work itself must be kept — a quote accepted, a file we carried — and in that case we keep only what the record needs.
Changes to this sheet
If what the site collects changes, this sheet changes first and the revision date above changes with it. The terms describe the service itself and the accessibility sheet describes how the site is built to be used.
